Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, therefore it is the leader of the state, and the actions and decisions of city leaders will influence the stability, or lack thereof, of the state. It is a substantial responsibility and one that should not be taken lightly. Atlanta must weather the current recession in a manner helpful to the wider region as well as itself.
