Choosing a place for yachting

When choosing a region for water travel, it is worth paying attention to several important factors. For example, whether the charter companies that provide the ship are operating in this city. Also it is worthwhile to soberly assess their capabilities and choose the safest area, and not play a superhero.

The season is important: in some waters, navigation depends on the season. Experts advise to focus on the most unprepared member of the crew. Usually it's children. Depending on this, you need to choose an area.

The best places for yachting in the world

There are many interesting places for yachting but some of them are more popular then other.

Greece

This country is one of the best for yachting. There are several thousand islands in the three seas. Thanks to them, you can choose any route—with long or short transitions, with different overnight stays, with visiting historical sites.

The most attractive areas include the Argosaronic and Ionian islands, the Cyclades archipelago and the Dodecanese, Crete, the eastern Sporades and the Peloponnese coast.

Canaries and Balearics

Both are Spanish areas with windy weather and a mildly warm climate. The main base of Balera is located in the royal marina of Palma de Mallorca, from where many yachts go on a sea voyage. You can also start the route from Ibiza and Menorca.

You can sail 150 miles in a couple of weeks, get to Ibiza and Formentera with its magnificent beaches, and then return to Mallorca. The route on the Canaries must be laid taking into account the strong wind.

Seychelles

Near Seychelles there are no dangerous currents, tides, and sea animals that could harm a person. It would come here several times a year, but that's bad luck—the islands are far from Russia. But with our country they have a visa-free regime.

The islands in this area are close to each other, the two main marinas are Praslin and Mahe. There are many anchorages everywhere. The wind in the Seychelles is predictable, the waves are small, so you can travel safely.
